The Tiberina Valley ( which is not Tuscany anymore) takes his name from the river Tevere that starts there its way to Rome it’s less than one hour away from Castiglion Fiorentino by car  toward east ( no bus service). It offers evocative landscapes and important historical trails. The area is sourronded by mountains and the main villages there are Anghiari ( famous for the battle that changed the history of Italy), Città di Castello (with a nice vintage loom museum) San Sepolcro, Umbertide and Gubbio on the mountains. Besides history, museums and bloody battles  the area is also famous for the abundance  of truffles
